Netizens mock actress Mercy Johnson's Oscar award-winning scene featuring a magical rope
Nigerians are beginning to mock actress Mercy Johnson over a scene she acted in a Nollywood movie. In the scene, she faked being tied to the tree with a rope that appeared like it was drawn all over her. Many wondered why the movie directors resorted to using a dummy rope instead of the real one. They talked down on how Nollywood movie directors aren't trying to make movies appear as realistic as possible, which ends up making their movies uninteresting. However, it seemed the rope was meant to be a form of a spiritual rope that couldn't be untied with ordinary hands. But the way it looked on screen was ridiculous to many.
