Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez performed yesterday at the Afrobeats festival headlined by Asake in Berlin, Germany.
He performed alongside Nigerian acts including Oxlade, Ckay, Victony, Runtown and P-square. The singer performed the hit song Gwagwalada which he featured on by BNXN. He then went on to perform Chance, one of the hit songs on his album Billion Dollar Baby.
It was obvious that while Seyi Vibez was on stage, the audience weren't feeling his vibes. His performance seemed boring and below par and it wasn't interesting enough to carry the audience along.
Seyi Vibez who has gained street credibility in his homeland Nigeria, must have thought it would be easy for him to penetrate the international music scene like his counterparts but it wasn't easy as he thought.
In the video which went viral yesterday, Seyi Vibez struggled to get the attention of the audience and this stirred several reactions among netizens who said Seyi Vibez should stick to Nigerian shows instead of making a mess of himself internationally.
Some said he was still an upcoming artiste and his sound is rare so he shouldn't rush into accepting international gigs yet. Instead, he should grow himself first and grow his fanbase so he can be accepted.
