The Super Eagles currently camp in Lagos, where they’ve been training at the Teslim Balogun stadium, preparing for their last African Nations Cup qualifiers match against Benin Republic.
The match which is to be held in Porto Novo, the Benin Republic on Saturday, will see the eagles travel by water, as said by the Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick.
“Going to Cotonou by boat, I do that all the time when we were going to inspect, we did it, there's nothing wrong in exploring other forms of adventure in Nigeria,”
"There's nobody in Lagos that has not been to Ilashe or been to Tarkwa Bay, so it's the same thing, so what's the big deal?
"Look at the Lagos boat terminal, it's one of the best in the world that I've seen, so why don't we use all those things if we have them.”
Considering the proximity of the two countries, Nigeria can either travel by land, water or air, which the Football Federation is still considering, but it looks likely they go by water.
The match will be played on Saturday, 27th of March by 5 pm, as the Super Eagles seek to end the Squirrels three natch unbeaten run after playing a goalless draw against Sierra Leone. Nigeria currently top the group L table.
