Nigerian army raids gun factory in Kaduna, recover many weapons
Troops of the Nigerian army recently raided a gun factory in Kaduna state and were able to recover many weapons from the factory. These men were of the Troops of Operation Safe Heaven, (OPSH). They recently discovered this factory where guns were being manufactured in Kaduna.
This factory is located in Kafanchan, which is in Jema’a Local Government Area in Kaduna State. The Nigerian army revealed this discovery and operation via their X (twitter) page. They shared a statement which was released about this operation on their twitter.
They disclosed that their operation came after Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, who is the OPSH commander's resolve to do so. The operation spanned overnight from Thursday night till the following morning, which was Friday. They revaled that the discovery discovery this location also led to the arrest of a wanted gun criminal named Napoleon John.
They revealed that the suspect has confessed to his crimes. After he was caught, he led the army to a factory which had been hidden. There they recovered a lot of weapons. They also discovered this business had been running for over 5 years.
Their statemtn read “A thorough search of the factory led to the recovery of 22 different weapons to include 7 pistols, 2 locally fabricated AK 47 rifles, 2 military grade AK 47 rifles and 9 revolvers. Others include one submachine gun, rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, machine tools and a gas cylinder. They recovered 2 x AK-47 Rifles, 2 x revolver rifles, live rounds of 9mm and 7.62 ammunitions, 6 x dangerous daggers, one x hacker axe, several empty cases of 7.62mm special rounds, 2 mobile phones, one fragmental jacket, 2 Police uniforms, one military camouflage trousers, one ammunition magazine carrier, one pistol holster, one military grade camel pouch, one police combat helmet, 2 masks, 4 identity cards, gunpowder, shrapnels, charms and amulets. Also recovered were machine tools and other equipment”.
