Nigerian Market Update (11 July 2025): Bulls Keep Charge as Market Rallies Further

Dear Investor,

The Nigerian equities market closed on a strong note again today, Friday, 11th July 2025, as the NGX All-Share Index (NGXASI) posted another gain of 1.37%, pushing the Year-to-Date (YTD) return to a remarkable 22.26%.

The benchmark index ended the day at 126,149.57 points, up from the previous close of 124,446.80 points.


Trading Highlights
• Trading Volume: Total shares traded surged by 9.89%, rising from 1.22 billion to 1.34 billion units.

• Market Turnover (Value): The total value of transactions climbed by 6.45%, increasing from ₦26.43 billion to ₦28.14 billion.

• Number of Deals: Transactions were executed in 31,272 deals, showing continued high market activity.

• Market Breadth: The market breadth stood at 2.28x, showing significant bullish dominance, with 66 stocks advancing versus 29 decliners.

• Volume Movement: Volume increased for 74 companies, while 68 companies experienced a decline in trading volume.

Several stocks posted impressive multi-day gains:
• FTN Cocoa Processors Plc (FTNCOCOA): Gained 46.20% in 5 days, closing at ₦6.82. The stock is now up nearly 299% YTD.
