The 26-year-old Kaduna-born forward has made 14 La Liga appearances for Real Sociedad, and has now nailed home his first La Liga with a brilliant finish.

At just 26, Umar has already played for about 10 European clubs since he took his football career to Europe.

His first stop in the shores of Europe was Spezia in Serie A in 2014 but he did not make a single appearance for the club, and was sent on loan spells to different Serie A clubs.

Roma was among his loan destinations and his move was made a permanent deal with the Serie A giants but he struggled to break into the club's lineup after then.

Umar subsequently breathed life back to his career after joining Real Sociedad in 2022 signing a five-year deal.

He made his national team debut for Nigeria in 2022 and has won 10 caps to his belt.
