Nigerian youths have called on the FG to reform the National Youths Service Corps program due to the high rate of kidnapping and insecurity across the country.
The nation has continued to face a high risk of insecurity across different states. Recently, the rate of insecurity has increased like never before. The stories of students and corp members getting kidnapped by bandits on their way to the NYSC camp have engulfed the media in recent times.
Thousands of graduates are at risk of getting kidnapped as a result of serving their fatherland. The Nigerian youths are calling on the FG to reform the program to ensure the safety of its citizens. They urged the FG to allow graduates to serve in their state of origin or stop posting them to far distances where they are at risk of being kidnapped or killed.
