The past few months have been quite tough for Nigerians due to the high cost of living. Inflation of goods and services, fuel scarcity, hike in price of fuel.
Days before, the NNPCL increased the price of PMS to N617. As if it wasn't enough, the Federal Government announced the increment of tuition fees for all Federal Unity Colleges in the country. This is to take effect from the new academic year in September.
The Federal Ministry of Education had a review on the colleges' fees and decided to increase it from a sum of 45,000 Naira to 100,000 Naira.
Afterwards, a statement was released and signed by the Director of Senior Secondary Education, Hajia Binta Abdulkabir confirming the increment of tuition fees for all students.
This 100,000 Naira tuition is expected to cover all the students' needs in the school including uniform, stationeries, sports, extracurricular activities, extra lessons etc.
Undoubtedly, the next couple of months will be harsh for Nigerians as a result of the tough economic conditions.
