An official statement released by President Tinubu reveals that he is not backing out on his plan to invade Niger Republic.
President Tinubu has also ordered that the benefits enjoyed by Niger Republic from Nigeria be stopped.
He stated that Nigeria would cut off electricity supply to Niger Republic. He also added that the plans on "Mobilising international support for the implementation of the provisions of the ECOWAS communique, and preventing the operation of commercial and special flights into and from Niger Republic."
