No more Emilokan, Nigerians protest the high cost of living in Ibadan
Residents of Ibadan, Oyo State, have come out in multitudes to protest over the high cost of living. They trooped into the streets of Ibadan, holding cardboards with different inscriptions such as "End Food Hike, "No More Emilokan, This is not the democracy we hoped for, Open Border End Hardship, and End Bad Government." They claimed that enough was enough as they would no longer keep mute over the situation of the Nigerian economy.
They sang a song that translated to how the previous President was better than President Tinubu. The Nigerian President was called a thief and told to step down if he wouldn't proffer a solution to what is currently going on in Nigeria.
When some of the protesters were interviewed, they disclosed how people are dying of hunger because they can no longer afford to feed themselves or their families. They urged President Tinubu to listen to the cries of the citizens because it is the right of every Nigerian to protest whenever things are not going well in the country.
