Nollywood actor Gabriel Afolayan bags an honorary degree from a university in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

The thespian who recently welcomed a set of twins, just bagged an honorary degree in Arts and Culture from The Estam university in Cotonou. He revealed this via his Instagram page yesterday with photos and a video.

While giving his acceptance speech, Afolayan expressed his immense gratitude to the university for conferring such a prestigious award to him. He promised to always represent Nigerian culture positively wherever he goes through his arts.

This award signifies the tremendous contributions the actor has made to the growth of the Nollywood industry and African entertainment as a whole. Coming from a family of entertainers, Gabriel Afolayan is an epitome of talent. Asides acting, the 38-year old actor also doubles as a singer. He is best known for his hit single "Kokoro Ife". He has featured in various movies including "Citation", "Coming from Insanity", "Gold Statue", "Ayomi", "Blood Sisters", "Ijogbon" among others.
