Nollywood actress Adejumoke Aderounmu has passed away at the age of 37.
The news of her demise was made known yesterday after a flier made for her funeral arrangements made its way online. The actress died on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at age 37.
Adejumoke Aderounmu is well known for her role "Esther" in Funke Akindele's hit TV series Jenifa's Diary. The cause of Adejumoke's death hasn't been disclosed.
Adejumoke was born on 26th March 1987. She is a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State. Adejumoke has featured in Funke Akindele's TV series Jenifa's Diary and Industreet. She also starred in Toyin Abraham's hit movie Alakada 2. Adejumoke attended Abeokuta Girls Grammar School in Ogun State.
She graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University with a degree in International Relations. Adejumoke proceeded to La CinéFabrique multimédia in Lyon, France in 2017 where she bagged a certificate in Film Making and Acting after she won a Ford Foundation scholarship at the Africa International Film Festival at her completion of a DSLR Film Making Training For Young Nigerian Film Makers in 2016. She had her acting debut in 2008 when she played the character of Princess Mobandele in Tunde Kelani's movie Arugba.
The late actress also worked as an on-air personality at Goldmyne Entertainment and Concert Radio from 2012 to 2015. Adejumoke never got married and she had no children.
