It was a tale of woes for Nottingham Forest and Steve Cooper at Craven Cottage as Fulham eased to a thumping win over the Tricky Trees.

If there had remain hopes of having Steve Cooper linger at the dugout at City Ground, I think it was finally shattered last night.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelo Marinakis had reportedly fired the manager of his Greek outfit Olympiacos following a poor of run of result.

With Steve Cooper unable to turn the tides of defeats for the Tricky Trees, his job is under risk than ever, and he could be the next in line to be fired.

During the game against Fulham, Marinakis was reportedly furious while Fulham continued on the rout.

The disgruntled football investor reportedly left Craven Cottage 20 minutes before the match ended and his accreditation was found inside a bush close to Craven Cottage.

Steve Cooper himself knows his job is at risk and it was quite visible with his end-of-the-match posturing to Nottingham Forest fans.

Nottingham Forest fans were a different breed at Craven, slightly off the mould of typical football fans. Despite Nottingham Forest breaking down in pieces before a domineering Fulham side, the fans applauded Steve Cooper after the match in a rare but a telling and emotional scene.

Cooper even admitted in post-match interview he did not deserve the fans for the extraordinary show of love and support despite the crisis-ridden run with the Tricky Trees.

Nsmnews understands Steve Cooper's relationship with Nottingham Forests fans is far deeper than what a four-match winless streak could break.

Cooper took up Nottingham Forest while they were rocked bottom in Championship. He guided the team to promotion to the English elite division and has retained them there.

While the fans may retain their emotional attachment to Cooper, the club's owner Angelo Marinakis may share little empathy with Cooper with his investment going down the drain.

Nottingham Forest have now suffered four consecutive defeats in the Premier League with Steve Cooper now coming under immense pressure.

Sources close to the club have revealed it is just a matter of time before Angelo will chose to to part ways with Steve Cooper. There are projections Cooper may not even be available to take charge of Nottingham Forest's next game at the weekend.
