October 5th, 2023 marked the 12th year of the death of the former Chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Apple. Steve Jobs passed away on the 5th of October, 2011, at the age of 56 years. He passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was born on the 24th of February, 1955 in Sam Francisco, California.
Apple Computer, Inc. was founded on the 1st of April, 1976. It was founded by 2 people who were college dropouts Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. The duo came together with a vision and founded the famous, global company we have today.
Steve Jobs passed away in 2011 after he had battled with pancreatic cancer for many years. He was 49 years old when he was first diagnosed with the illness and this was in the year 2005. He commenced treatment but despite this, he passed away. He continued working as the CEO of Apple until the 24th of August, 2011. This was his last day as CEO before he died in October.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has paid tribute to the late Steve Jobs on the 12th year anniversary of his death. Recall when Steve Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple he named Tim Cook as his successor. Tim Cook resumed office as the new Apple CEO in 2011.
