The Offerup app works by connecting local buyers to sellers on the platform. You can simply sign up using your email address or through a US social account.Once you are logged in, you can have fun browsing through the listed items until you see something you like. Once you've seen an item you would love to purchase, immediately make an offer to the seller. However, if you aren't ready to do so, save the item in the cart. That way, you wouldn't have a hard time reaching the seller once you are ready.
Once you've agreed on the price of the item with a seller, it is advisable that you meet up with the seller in a public place, preferably with a friend or a family member. This is to ensure your safety and a smooth transaction. Note that this applies only to buyers on the platform.
If you are a seller, simply list your item and wait until a potential buyer makes an offer. If you want to sell your item faster, you can pay a small fee to get your item moved to the top of the list. That way, buyers get to see what you've listed for sale without having to scroll to the bottom of the page.
