Real Madrid have confirmed they have reached an agreement with their manager Carlo Ancelotti to extend his contract.
The European and La Liga giants confirmed in a club statement the two parties have agreed on a two-year contract extension which will see Ancelotti stay in Spain's capital till 2026.
The club statement reads;
"Real Madrid C.F. and Carlo Ancelotti have agreed to extend the contract of our coach until June 30, 2026."
The contract renewal agreement for Ancelotti has put an end to rumors linking the Italian to Brazil national team.

With his prolific trail in European football, Ancelotti was a prime target for Brazil FA to become Brazil national team manager. Meanwhile, his contract with Real Madrid was set to expire at the end of this season.
Spanish outlet, Relevo, reported earlier Carlo Ancelotti was set to extend his deal with Real Madrid. However, there were still uncertainties over the 64-year-old's Real Madrid future since no agreement was reached between both parties yet.

Ancelotti is the most decorated football manager in Europe. He has won the Champions League two times with AC Milan and two times with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti joined Real Madrid in 2021 for his second spell with the club after an intial stint from 2013 to 2015.

His new deal will see the former Chelsea manager extend his stay with Los Blancos to five years.
