Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, former Manchester United manager has launched an attack on the current Red Devils' team, calling them "snowflakes".

The former Man United forward has explained that many players from the recent United team would have struggled to survive in Sir Alex Ferguson's dressing room.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed how there were a few fights in the dressing room after bad games and clarified how they would shake each other up during his playing days.

The 1999 treble winner who was in charge of the United team during the 2019-2020 season said the current team would decompose under the same circumstances and even contact their parents to interfere.

Speaking to the reporters, he said; "The lads in that dressing room were absolutely fantastic. Keano was the leader, the one everyone looked up to".

"David May was the joker, the clown. Gary (Neville) is still the busiest and was the busiest back then as well, Nicky (Butt) and Giggsy (Ryan Giggs) were the entertainers".

"It was just a fantastic dressing room. Winners, who hated losing. They had a few fights, as you should do, after bad games. You had to shake each other up".

Ole added; "If you do that to the boys now, they will get their dad, or their mum, or their agents, snowflakes. Not many of today's lot would have survived in that dressing room".

The former Manchester United manager compared the current team's locker room to the wildly successful squads he was a part of as a player between 1996 and 2007.

After a tremendously successful playing career at Manchester United between 1996 and 2007, Solskjaer returned to Old Trafford in 2019 as the club's manager.

What happened to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United manager?

After a disastrous run of results continued with a 4-1 loss against Watford in November 2021, Solskjaer was fired as Manchester United manager.

After losing seven of his last 13 games in charge, the club decided to get rid of the Norwegian manager.

His time at Old Trafford was cut short, and many believe that the unrest in the Manchester United locker room was to blame.

Reportedly angering the team, Solskjaer made Harry Maguire captain after only six months on the job.

The England center-back was acquired from Leicester for £80 million in August 2019, but he was already serving as captain by January 2020.

Solskjaer's favoritism and strategies were also criticized, with some players apparently asking the manager why he refuses to make substitutions in a losing game.

What's next for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

Manchester United are now in fourth place in the Premier League table under the leadership of Erik ten Hag, while Solskjaer is yet to get a job as manager.
