Omowunmi is a well known actress who has featured in movies like Oloture, diamonds in the sky and Ayinla. Her most famous role is in a TV series known as Jemeji.
She shared that at the beginning of her career, it was not that easy as a Dark-skinned actress. She revealed that earlier in the Nigerian movie industry, more attention was given to the light-skinned actresses.
She shared this during a recent interview with Channels TV. She mentioned that when she began acting, most of the roles will be given to Lighter in complexion ladies.
She says it's either the person is really fair in complexion, or was a half-cast, then they would get a prominent role.
She shared the downside of this saying this made many actresses start to alter their skins.

She shared that people like herself who stood our ground and allowed their talents to bring them to the limelight are Stars now.
