Oyo-based Chef Tope Maggie completes a 200-hour cooking marathon
Nigerian Oyo-based chef Tope Maggie has completed a 200-hour cooking marathon after days of tirelessly embarking on the challenge. Recall that Chef Temitope Adebayo aka Tope Maggie began a 200-hour cooking marathon in Oyo State to break the Guinness World Record. He was motivated to break the record after an Irish chef, Alan Fisher, dethroned chef Hilda Baci after he cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes.
Nigerians were shocked after Alan was announced as the new record holder because everyone believed that new records cannot be broken until the current title holder has displayed their win for a year. Now, Chef Tope Maggie has completed his 200-hour cooking marathon and has sent his result to the Guinness World Record. Nigerians patiently await the final result of the GWR and they cannot wait to regain the title to Nigeria.
Tope had wanted to embark on a 140-hour and 20-minute cooking marathon but had to extend it to 200 hours to surpass Alan Fisher's record. Do you believe Tope Maggie will be crowned the next winner of the cook-a-thon?
