Paternity fraud doesn't count in Igbo culture, Igbo man speaks on DNA
An Igbo man named Nze on X has shared more light regarding the issue of DNA in his culture. According to him, there's nothing like DNA in the Igbo land because any man who has paid the bride price of a woman automatically becomes the father of her child. Even if the woman happens to be promiscuous, her husband still remains the father of such a child. So, conducting DNA wouldn't change anything in the family since it is their culture to not dismiss the children born by their wives.
Nze added how this aspect of their culture has become a sad pill to swallow for Igbo men who have secretly conducted DNA and discovered that a child isn't theirs. Despite knowing the paternity of a child, they would still keep performing their duties on such a child irrespective of who the biological father was.
