The Special Adviser femi adesina to the president of the federal republic of NIGERIA Muhammad buhari on media and publicity has accused the people Democratic Party (PDP) of trying to use the #EndSARS protests to gain political relevance.
He alleged that the PDP hijacked the genuine concerns and intents of the original #EndSARS protests to push their 2023 selfish political interests.

He said what happened some days ago about the concern of the protest by the nigerian youths, that this had turned into hatred and murder in the land.He had sympathy and condolence of those who lost their lives during the protest.
He also said that how can a peaceful protest turn into killing, damaging of public buildings and properties, release of criminals and many others.
“Some people call it ‘the mistake of 1914,’ in which what used to be the Northern and Southern Protectorates were forcefully cobbled together by the colonial masters, leading to the emergence of one Nigeria. Since then, it has been one uneasy relationship among the people.

The EndSARS campaign began as an agitation against police brutality, in which there was unanimity of purpose. And suddenly, it became a vehicle of hate. Against leadership, against national cohesion, an opportunity to settle political scores, and equally prepare for power grab in 2023.
The agitation by youths against injustice and oppression suddenly took on .Separatists came under the umbrella, and began to advance their cause, working for the division of the country.
Those beaten black and blue in 2015 and 2019 elections also went in, while also seeking for a return to power in 2023.”
While condoling with people that lost loved ones, properties or got injured after the protest was hijacked and turned violent, the presidential media aide warned that hatred, religious or ethnic suspicion, or any other vice should not be allowed to further divide the country as national interests must always override personal interests.
