Pelumi Nubi, the woman solo-driving from London to Lagos finally arrives in Nigeria 68 days later. Recall that the 29-year-old Nigerian globetrotter was involved in a ghastly road accident a few weeks ago.
Pelumi was received at the Nigerian-Benin border by dignitaries and government officials including the Lagos State Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and her special Adviser, Idris Aregbe. In a video making the rounds online, Pelumi was given a warm welcome with traditional songs and dance as she showed off her impeccable dance skills.
Pelumi Nubi is the second Nigerian to attempt this challenge after Nigerian adventurer, Kayode Adeyanju, rode on a motorbike from London to Lagos in 2022. Pelumi has traveled to over 70 countries and still counting. She traveled from England, France, and Spain then entered Africa through Morocco before proceeding to the Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, and other countries before arriving in West Africa.
