World Record holder Hilda Baci has opened up on her experiences about how people thought she had nothing to offer.
She revealed in a recent interview with Tacha that before gaining the spotlight, people often looked down on her as someone who had nothing much to offer than her body.
She said she has been stereotyped all her life but it's more pronounced now that she is famous. Most people who see her now think all she does is offer her body in exchange for money.
She mentioned that before her cookathon, she had some speaking engagements she had to go for but she didn't get the energy she needed because people looked down on her because of her outward appearance.
She said, "I remember one speaking engagement I went for before the cookathon. They didn't want me to come on because just looking at me, they didn't think I had much to offer."
She expressed that such snide comments are no longer new to her because our society is quick to attribute the success of women to their body.
She said such remarks inspire her to push harder and aspire to be more than where she is because if it's possible for her, it can also be possible for the next woman.
