In an interview with Chude, Nollywood Veteran actor, Pete Edochie talked about the rate at which Nollywood actresses divorce their husbands. He said most of the ladies that got married two to three years ago have left their husbands.

He said he was shocked when he heard that actress Chioma Akpotha has divorced her husband. The veteran actor said the marriage institution is for "Better or worse" and not for "Better for Us." He said the mistake that everyone makes is believing in the narrative of the grass being greener on the other side. Watch the clip below.

No matter what is being said on the Internet, everyone would have a different opinion. Pete Edochie believes that marriage is not a bed of roses. He believes there will always be good times and bad times. However, others didn't subscribe to his idea. One @nara_ozim said gone are those days when women stay in abusive relationships. She wrote, "Nigerian marriages always involves the women staying in toxic marriages to go through hell. To take all manners of abuse but fortunately we women are waking up. And we have decided we won't be taking such nonsense again in the name of being married. For better or for worse in a Nigerian marriage is literally hell on Earth. Sorry boss."

Another person said the Nollywood actresses should be allowed to do whatever they want. "These girls are well, single, and thriving!!! Let them breatheee." Some are pissed at the ladies that said they wouldn't listen to Pete Edochie's advise. One man with the handle, @jkhama, even said they lack home training for advising a man that is old enough to be their Grandfather.
