Peter Obi, Atiku, Tinubu absent from today's Tribunal Judgement

Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are notably absent from today's Tribunal as they are set to deliver their Judgment. President Bola Tinubu who recently traveled on a trip to India for a summit is not present at the delivery of the Tribunal Jugement. President Bola Tinubu has traveled to New Delhi, India to attend the G20 summit.

The Tribunal is an Election tribunal which will be deciding whether or not President Bola Tinubu will remain as president of the Republic of Nigeria. Recall President Tinubu contested in the 2023 elections which was held in February 2023 alongside his major opponents Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.

President Tinubu emerged as the winner of the presidential election and the other candidates who didn't win went on to challenge the results of the elections. This day has been long awaited as judgment in their petitions regarding Tinubu's stay in office will be delivered today.

Peter Obi, who was also a 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) was absent as the Presidential election Tribunal commenced alongside former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

Prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are present at the Tribunal including the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the National Chairman of the APC Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and many others.

Despite Peter Obi of the Labour Party being absent, the party was represented by the National Chairman Julius Abure while Bala Mohammed who is the Governor of Bauchi State is representing PDP.
