Peter Obi detained in London Airport
Immigration officials have detained the Presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi over impersonation.
He has been detained in London allegedly for impersonation and was for hours.
This incident happened on Friday and Mr Obi claimed that he was detained for hours.
It was the UK immigration officers who detained him at the airport.
He mentioned that he was interrogated by the officials. This was after his plane, a British Airways, landed in Heathrow Airport in London in the morning on Friday.
This information was revealed this morning by Prof Chinyere Okunna who is a famous Mass Communications scholar. He is also the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Paul University Awka.
This man has worked with Peter Obi as the commissioner for information. He is also Peter Obi's confidant.
He mentioned that Peter Obi lived in an honorable manner in the UK.
Obi had arrived in London after an event. He was at Heathrow Airport and was on the queue to pass through the immigration.
He was then stopped and questioned for a long time.
They then told him to wait for further interrogation and investigation and he was also given a detention note.
During all of this, some Nigerians who knew who he was protested what was happening and the way he was being treated.
It was then the immigration officials explained that someone was impersonating Obi in the country.
