Peter Okoye speaks against tribalism
Peter Okoye, a popular Nigerian singer who is one of the P-Square brothers has spoken up against tribalism in Nigeria.
Peter mentioned that these Nigerian politicians are trying to hide their lack of performances by engaging in tribal battles.
Peter is popularly known as Mr P and he is married with 2 children. He is one of the P-Square brothers alongside his twin brother known as Rudeboy.
This statement is coming as a result of the tribal battles being engaged in due to the elections that were just concluded.
Peter, while mentioning the serious case of tribalism in Nigeria used the relationship between The Yorubas and Igbos of Nigeria as an example.
He further mentioned that these two tribes shouldn't have any problems between them and went ahead to use his wife as an example. Peter is married to a Yoruba woman named Lola omotayo-okoye and they have been married for some years now with children.
He wrote that he is an Igbo man married to a Yoruba woman! And went ahead to claim that Igbos do not hate Yorubas neither do Yorubas hate Igbos.
He believes that Politicians are using tribe to start what is not and cover their inadequacies and bad leadership.
He advised people to be wise to avoid exploitation as the politicians don't care about them regardless of tribe. They simply care about themselves.
He told them not to be carried along in these tribal wars which isn't necessary.
