Police arrest 3 kidnappers while collecting N10m ransom in Lagos


The police have arrested 3 men who are kidnappers in Lagos. These men were nabbed while they were collecting ransom from the kidnap victims.

The man who was kidnapped was identified as Timothy Uche, who was a businessman. He was kidnapped on the 18th of March.

The kidnappers have requested for N15 million as ransom but the family of this man couldn't raise this amount.

The men then settled for N5 million at first and demanded for the remaining N10 million when they released this man.

These kidnappers dropped the victim off and told him the will be back for the balance of the money. They can threatened his family to make sure he knows how serious it is.

Not long after the family dispute to receive calls for the remaining balance of the money.

They gave them till the 6th of May to produce the money.

They said the money must be paid in cash in US dollars.
They were to collect the money at Ikotun, in Lagos.

3 of these men came on a motorcycle and were able to collect the money from the wife of this man.

Suddenly, from nowhere a car came and hit the motorcycle and zoomed off. The men had been flung off the motorcycle and the money bag fell open.

Some armed policemen from the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department in Yaba came and arrested them.

After the arrest, investigation commenced and they found out one of these men was a security agent.

They also recovered the guns which these men had been using.

During investigation, they found out there was a gang leader and they raided this man's house but couldn't get him.

The victim revealed that they had been calling and sending messages but he first ignored them.

But the threats had persisted and so he began to beg them to reduce the money.

Eventually, after prayers, some detectives from the SCIID where the case had been reported, came to their aid.

When they finally wanted to drop the money, the kidnappers kept changing the location each time she arrived there.

Eventually she got tired and told them to come and kill her and so she sat down where she was. It was then the kidnappers came on their motorcycle and the police attacked.
