Police arrest four suspected armed robbers in military uniforms in Edo state
The police have arrested 4 men who are suspected to be armed robbers in Edo State.
The officers of the Edo State Police Command arrested these men who disguise in military uniforms and Rob people.
These men are said to belong to a cult group who value problems for people in Benin, Edo State.
Mr SP Chidi Nwabuzor who is the police command’s spokesperson spoke at a press briefing on the 14th of March.
He said that it was the Intelligence Unit who made the arrest after a woman made a petition over a robbery that took place in her house.
These men borke into the woman's house in army uniforms and robbed her house. They took away her jewellery, phones and her money.
They gained entry into the house through the ceiling. After robbing her of all her belongings, they also forcefully transferred N447,000 from her account into theirs by obtaining her pin to gain access to her Bank account.
Mr Chidi mentioned that these suspects changed the money to foreign currency and split among themselves. It was after this incident that they were arrested.
They were able to recover many items from the suspects amount to millions. They recovered Iphones, jewelry worth a lot of money, Fans, washing machine, gas cylinders and others.
The army uniforms they wore were gotten from the house of a military officer, who died a while back.
