Police arrest Nasarawa burglar in Abuja, recover stolen vehicles


The Police Command of Nasarawa State has confirmed the arrest of a burglar in Abuja.

The man has been identified as Gabriel Okpe, and he was arrested for allegedly stealing from some residents in the area. This was in the Karu Local Government Area of the state.

DSP Ramhan Nansel who is the state Police Public Relations Officer mentioned that the suspect has been on the watch list for some time.

He revealed this on Thursday. He said the man who had been on the command's watch list was tracked down and arrested in Abuja.

He said a complaint was lodged on the 27th of March, 2023 at the Karshi Division. They had reported that that an apartment had been burgled. This apartment was located at Modupe Olusola Street.

Some household items and a 2010 model Toyota Matrix vehicle were stolen.

As soon as they receive ld the report, they began investigation and eventually made the arrest on the 28th of March.

They recovered some items including a Toyota Matrix, Honda Accord, a generator, gas cylinder, two plasma television, a standing fan.
