Police arrest suspect for cutting off a farmers hand in Plateau state
Officers of the Plateau State Police Command arrested a man who cut off a farmer's hand recently in Plateau state. This suspect is a herdsman, and he has been identified as Abdulrahman Kaila.
He had allegedly cut off a farmer’s hand and thus incident occurred in the Lakushi community, which is located in the Shendam Local Government Area in Plateau state.
The police had come across a video which showed the victim who is a farmer holding his severed hand which had blood dripping from it. The victim had revealed that a herdsman had cut off his hand because he had told the herdsman to move his cattle away from his farm.
Alabo Alfred who is the Plateau state Police Public Relations Officer revealed this to newsmen on Sunday in Jos, the capital of Plateau state.
He revealed that they have arrested the man who cut off another farmer's hand and he is in their police custody. He also said that they have concluded the investigations which were being made to arraign this suspect in the court.
He revealed that they were able to make the arrest through their intelligence network. He says the police had received Intel about these actions and the Commissioner of Police then directed their men to look for the suspect.
After the arrest, the suspect confessed to committing this act and revealed the reason why he did so which they didn't share to the public.
He added that they have concluded their investigations and they will charge the suspect to court either today, Monday or tomorrow Tuesday.
