Police arrest suspect who shot at orphans in Abuja


Men of the police command in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested a man who shot at some orphans in Abuja recently.

They revealed that they have begun an investigation into the shooting of these 2 orphans in Abuja.

These orphans have been identified as Abdulmalik Abubakar and Ibrahim Abdullahi. The duo are brothers and they were shot.

It was some local vigilantes in the Bobota/Dabi Kwali Area Council of the state who committed this crime but the police have arrested one of them.

This incident happened on Sunday. The brothers were shot by these vigilantes while they were sleeping in their family home.

One of the brothers, Abdullahi who is 22 years old was shot in his laps and buttocks while the other brother who is older, Abubakar, 27 years old was shot in the leg

The brothers were taken to the hospital and one of them even had to undergo a surgery.
Their sister named Jemilah revealed that Abubakar had to have his toe amputated.

It was Josephine Adeh who is the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, was the one who confirmed this news. She confirmed this on Wednesday.

She also mentioned that the police have begun an investigation into the case.

She revealed that they arrested one of the suspects the very day the incident happened and he is still in police custody.
Some local vigilantes have made efforts to release him but they have failed.

A source revealed that these vigilantes have been sending some people to the police station so that this guy will be released but the police didn't allow it.
They revealed that it was the DPO of Kwali Police Station who refused to release him.
