Police raid kidnappers hideout in Abuja, rescue 58 victims


The Police Command in The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have raided a kidnappers hideout in Abuja and rescued 58 hostages.

These victims were being held hostages in Udulu forest in Nasarawa State. They were able to identify and raid the hideout of these criminals in FCT.

SP Josephine Adeh who is the Spokesperson of the commanI revealed that there was a shootout. She said that these kidnappers fired at the police as soon as they saw the security personnel.

The kidnappers were able to escape but were injured and they left the kidnapped victims behind.

The command revealed that this rescue mission is in a joint operation with other security agencies and some vigilantes from communities.

Cp Haruna Garba who is the Commissioner of Police in FCT mentioned that they will make efforts to prevent any such threats to security in the state.

He also asked residents to cooperate by giving the police information.

Sadly, during the rescue operation, a man was injured and eventually died. They have passed his body to his family.

The remaining 58 victims who were rescued have been taken to the hospital.
