Portable freed from Ilaro Correctional Centre
Nigerian singer, Portable has reportedly been freed from the Ilaro Correctional Centre. He met the bail conditions was was released.
Recall that he was detained in the Ilaro Correctional Centre on Monday.
A court sitting of the Ogun State Magistrate granted him bail of N300,000.
Recall the state police command had charged him on a 5 count including assault.
SP Abimbola Oyeyemi who is the Police Public Relations Officer of the state had earlier revealed that he was arrested for allegedly assuring a man named Osimusi Emmanuel.
He had also attacked the policemen who went to his bar to arrest him.
When all the charges were ruled against him, he pleased not guilty.
When his ruling for the application of bail was been delivered, Magistrate A.S Shoneye revealed that these offences he had committed are bailable.
They ruled that Portable should be transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Centre until these bail conditions are met.
Report states kow that he has met these bail conditions and he is no longer in custody.
It was Mr Victor Oyeleke, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Correctional Service who revealed this information.
The charges read to him included casuing injury on an Inspector using his elbow and causing blood to flow from his nose, resisting arrest.
They adjouned the case till the 26th of April, 2023 when the trial would commence.
