Portable shades Nigerians for celebrating Super Eagles win amid economic hardship
While Nigerians are overjoyed seeing the Super Eagles emerge victorious in their match against the Bafana Bafana, singer Portable chose to be the devil's advocate reminding Nigerians about their predicament. He reprimanded the overzealous citizens for celebrating the victory of the Super Eagles in high spirits instead of channeling the same energy into protesting against economic hardship. To him, so many people were being unreasonable and would soon return to reality once the jubilation had ended.
He said, "Nigeria my country. You people have started again. Which one of you have no sense? Which one of you have eaten 3-square meal today? Dollar don high. Rate no good. Situation no good. Our road no good. We have bad road, bad environment. Hungry wan kill us ehn. So why are you people rejoicing? Which one of you have no sense to be shouting up Nigeria. What went up in Nigeria? So you want make hungry dey rise abi? You guys want to eat the cup? Can't you protest? The energy wey you use dey shout Up Super Eagles, why can't you be shatter hunger the same way?
