Precious Mac reveals she gave up on studying nursing to pursue music
Precious Mac, who is the first runner-up of the Nigerian Idol season 8 edition has revealed how she gave up on studying nursing to pursue music.
Recall victory Gbakara was the winner of this edition of the Nigerian Idol. Victory alongside Precious Mac were the top 2 finalists on the show before victory was declared the winner.
Precious revealed this during a recent interview with TOFARATI IGE. She was sharing her experience during the show when she mentioned this.
She was asked what her next plan is after emerging as the first runner up in the show and she revealed that she won't just be making music but will also create a brand. She says the horizon is wide and she believes it will be an amazing joinery for herself and her fans.
Sha shared that she plans to release a new song for her fans soon. She says she has been working on some songs.
She went ahead to share the lessons she has learnt from this and mentioned that there will always be somebody better than you are and what is most important is that you are different from others and stand out.
She also revealed that she began singing at the age of 8. She says she was in the children choir in church.
She revealed how her father would always encourage her and play the guitar and sing for her.
She mentioned that her mum was also fully in support of her but her pranksters believed that you had to complete your education before pursuing music fully.
She says she started taking her music seriously at the age of 14 and it was then she Partook in her first music competition. She says Afterward, she knew that's what she wanted to do.
She revealed that she wanted to study Nursing, but realized that she loved music more. She says her parents supported her.
She shared that the most challenging part of the show for her was standing on the stage for their weekly performance. She said they knew that at the next minute, someone would go home and it was tough.
She shared that she would like to collaborate collaborate artists like Tems, Davido and Victory Gbakara who was the winner of the show.
