President Tinubu accepts Lalong's resignation as Labour Minister​

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly approved the resignation of Simon Lalong, from being Nigeria's Minister of Labour and Employment.

He is to resume his new position as the Senator from the Plateau South Senatorial. His resignation was confirmed by a presidential aide.

Lalong is to be sworn in as a Senator in a week by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. ReReportshow that Lalong was the Director-General of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation, a few months before the February Presidential election.

Lalong who is a two-term speaker of Plateau State Assembly had privately tendered his resignation to Tinubu after a Federal Executive Council meeting that was held last Friday.
