President Tinubu celebrates Akintola Williams as he turns 104

The President of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has celebrated with Akintola Williams as he turns 104 years.
Akintola Williams is a Pioneer Chartered Accountant in Africa. He was the first Nigerian to qualify as a chartered accountant.

Akintola Williams is a renowned figure in Africa at large. He was also the one who established the first indigenous accounting firm in Africa, known as Akintola Williams & Co. He established it in the year 1952.
This was revealed in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, who is the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Thursday in Abuja.
President Tinubu also noted the accomplishments of the elderly accounting legend and noted the roles he played in the establishment of several private and public institutions in the country like the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
He also played a role in establishing the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN).
President Tinubu commended Akintola Williams saying that he believes that his presence will continue to inspire younger generations to propel them towards hard work, integrity and long-term vision.
