President Tinubu returns to Abuja from Kenya after AU meeting
The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu had arrived at Abuja from Kenya just recently.
He arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja yesterday around 4:20p.m.
He was coming back from Kenya where he had attended an African Union (AU) meeting. This meeting was the 5th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the AU. This was held in Nairobi in Kenya.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume led some top government officials to welcome the president at the airport yesterday.
Some others who were there include the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila and the former governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje alongside some others.
Recall President Tinubu traveled to attend this meeting as the Chairman of the Authority of the Heads of State and also Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
He embarked on his journey last Saturday. He took off from Abuja Nigeria and flew to Kenya.
This meeting was to discuss issues of Africa’s unity and strength alongside some other pressing issues.
