Princess Leonor of Spain turns 18 years old, swears oath to Spain
Princess Leonor, the Princess of Spain has celebrated her 18th birthday and also swore an oath to her country, Spain. The Princess who is now 18 years is officially recognised as the Princess of spain and heir to the throne. The oath swearing took place yesterday, Tuesday, October 31st 2023 which was also the princess' birthday.
Princess Leonor is the heir to the Spain throne. She is known as the Princess of Asturias. The oath swearing consisted of Princess Leonor swearing her allegiance to the constitution. She is 18 years old. She was born on the 31st of October, 2005 in Madrid Spain. She is the first child of the Kind and Queen of Spain, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
She was born while her grandfather, King Juan Carlos I was still King 18 years back. She is the first child and eldest daughter she has only 1 Siblings, a female whose name is Infanta Sofía of Spain.
During the ceremony, she swore to respect citizens right, obedience to the law and faithfulness to the king. The oath swearing ceremony marked her coming of age (adulthood) in parliament. She is next in line to the throne after her father. Recall she recntly commenced military training in Spain. She began her military training earlier this year, in August 2023.
