R. Kelly transferred to North Carolina prison to serve 30-year jail term
Popular American singer, R. Kelly has been transferred to a prison in North Carolina. He is to serve a jail term of 30 years.
It was the Federal Bureau of Prisons who confirmed this information.
His full name is Robert Sylvester Kelly and he is a singer. He is currently in his fifties.
They moved him last week Wednesday from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago. He was taken to the Federal Correctional Institution in Butner, North Carolina.
Recall he was sentenced in February to an additional year for child pornography and child enticement. He already has 30 years which he is serving for a separate conviction.
September last year, he was convicted on 6 counts which bordered on the sexual assault of 3 women.
He was later charged with 7 others including obstruction of Justice etc.
