He was born in 1993 in the Unite dates and has a brother known as Slim Jxmmi who is also a musician. He has gotten many nominations like the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song and song of the year.

He recently revealed that he is partly a Nigerian. He shared this when he was trying to explain to his fans why he put some Nigerian flag emoji on his tweet

Recently he announced on twitter that he was jumping on the Amapiano sound which is a popularly known South African Music genre.

He shared that he would also be using this sound and put some Nigerian emojies but this didn't sit right with some of his South African fans.

They took to social media to accuse him of discrediting their country, which is actually the originators of Amapiano.

He then had to explain that the tweet wasn't meant that way and he said he added the Nigerian flag because he is partly Nigerian.

He said it had nothing to do with the origination of the Amapiano sound.
