Reactions as Anthony Joshua snubs Nigerians during appreciation speech after defeating Francis Ngannou

After the popular boxer Anthony Joshua had defeated his opponent, Francis Ngannou, he was given the microphone to express how he felt after winning the intense fight. While giving a shout-out to fans and supporters, Joshua who is of Nigerian descent didn't include Nigerians as he shouted out to other African countries and the United Kingdom. He said, "The people of Cameroon I appreciate you guys. Where's my Cameroonian people? Let's make some noise for my Cameroonian people. African United. Respect! Thank you so much. I appreciate you. Where's my people from London? You know what's going on. And most importantly, where's my people from Saudi Arabia?"

Some Nigerians were quite sad that Anthony Joshua didn't recognize the people from Nigerians but some found it quite understandable due to last events. Netizens recounted how some Nigerians had once dragged Anthony Joshua for days after he lost to an opponent. Now that he was able to defeat Ngannou, he didn't bother to appreciate anyone from the country who had continuously dragged him on social media.
