Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid settled for a dramatic 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu in a thrilling Madrid Derby.

Atletico Madrid were on the defensive throughout the game but, as usual, they weren't giving up soon despite going by a goal down in the 20th minute.

Savic got the ball at the back of the net for the away side a few minutes after the interval but a goal-check revealed Koke was offside in the build-up, hence the goal was chalked off.

Both sides failed to find the back of the net going forward. Real Madrid continued with a more dominant display and were edging close to victory with the 1-0 lead.

Reeling under pressure by the hosts, Atletico Madrid relied on quick counterattacks to break Real Madrid's dominance. With a few minutes of added time left, the Diego Simeone side finally found the leveler.

Llorente latched on Memphis Depay's flick to head home the equaliser, pegging back Real Madrid to a point. Conceding at the death, Madrid attempted to mount a quick response to restore the lead but were effectively pocketed by a resilient Atletico Madrid defense.
