Rema bags 6 nominations at the 2023 BMAs

Popular Nigerian musician Rema has received 6 nominations in the upcoming 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs). He was nominated in 6 different categories in the BBMAS which is coming up later this year. The event is set to be held on the 19th of November, 2023. The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

His real name is Divine Ikubor but he is known professionally as Rema. He is an award-winning rapper, singer and songwriter. He became famous after the release of his 2019 hit single titled "Dumebi". He was born on the 1st of May 2000. He is currently 23 years old.

This isn't the first time Rema would bag multiple nominations in an award show. He was nominated for various categories including ‘Top Billboard Global 200 Song,’ ‘Top Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.),’ ‘Top Afrobeats Artiste,’ ‘Top Radio Song,’ ‘Top Collaboration,’ and ‘Top Afrobeats Song.’

Some other Nigerian music stars like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Victony, Tems, Ayra Starr, were also nominated in various categories. His song with Selena Gomez titled 'calm down' made the list of nominations. This song has been breaking records since its release in 2022.
