The self-acclaimed Prince of Afrobeats, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, makes history again as his monster hit 'Calm Down' becomes the most streamed Afrobeats song in the USA.
'Calm Down' has become the first song to earn a total of 1 billion on-demand streams in the USA. Last year, the song became the highest-charting Afrobeats song on the Billboard Hot 100 after spending a year in the number 3 spot.
Calm Down was released in 2022 as a single off Rema's debut album, Rave and Roses. A few months later, Rema teamed up with Selena Gomez for a song remix which earned more streams and further solidified Rema's place in the international scene. 'Calm Down' remix video remains the most-watched YouTube music video by a Nigerian artist with almost 900 million views.
