Inter Milan showed their win against defending champions Napoli last time out was not a fluke.

The Nerrazurri picked up from where they stopped as they pressed the Udinese backline.

Federico Dimarco lofted in a great ball, which was gleefully met by the head of Inter Milan's captain Lautaro Martinez only for his efforts to crash against the post.

The host exchanged some beat intricate passes that cut out the Udinese defense wide open.

Inter Milan dominated the early exchanges and would eventually get their lead through the penalty spot.

"El Toro" which is the nickname of Lautaro Martinez was dragged down by the Udinese defender.

After the intervention of VAR the referee Marco Di Bello awarded the spot kick.

Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up to make it 6 out of 6 penalties converted as he smashed the ball past the helpless reach of Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.

Inter Milan controlled the game as Udinese players were playing catch up.

The Nerrazurri would however double their lead in the 42nd minute as Federico Dimarco slotted home Hakan Calhanoglu's pass.

Inter Milan were moving through the gears as they added a third before the break as Marcus Thuram tucked home a sensational team move as he taped in Henrikh Mkhitaryan's precise cross.
Simone Inzaghi's men went into the break with a commanding 3:0 lead.

The second half started similarly as Inter Milan dominated the Bianconeri, with the match all but wrapped up, Lorenzo Lucca thought he had pulled a goal back for the visitors only for the linesman to raise his flag to cancel out the goal

Udinese had been a shadow of the side they were last season as they are currently in a troubling period that has seen them put under pressure.

Lautaro Martinez who finished with the second-highest goal last season would pile more misery on the Bianconeri as he riffled home a long-range shot from the edge of the box.

The win sealed Inter Milan's 6th successive win as they leapfrogged Juventus to assume the number 1 team in the Italian top flight.

Udinese will hope to bounce back after the club suffered their worst start to an Italian club.

Their dismal one win in 19 games has seen them struggle to turn their situations around, they welcome Sassuolo next.
