Rivers Court remands vigilante commander for murder


A vigilante commander has been remanded by a Rivers state Court for murder recently. It was a Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State who remanded him in the correctional center.

This vigilante commander has been identified as Nyeche Ajuru. He was the Commander of Rundele Security Peace and Advisory Committee (RUSPAC).

This man was arrested earlier and had also been paraded at the Police headquarters in Port Harcourt.

He was arrested in Aluu community and he had been in possession of AK47 and other arms
He later confessed that he had collected the gun from some cultists.

This was after they arraigned him in court for his crimes. He was arraigned yesterday, Wednesday before the Magistrate Court.

This was on three counts which bordered on unlawful possession of a firearm, Arson and murder. This man was arraigned by the Rivers police command.

The presiding Chief Magistrate who is Amadi Nna didn't allow this man to make a plea but also declined jurisdiction to hear the matter.

They also gave directives that this case be transferred to the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP). They transferred this case for advice.

They also advised this man to seek for bail at the state High Court.
After this they then remanded him in the Port Harcourt Correctional Center.
