Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs took a swipe at the Manchester United flop while slamming the club's mode of recruitment over the years.

He also shared his thoughts about Argentina's youngster, Alejandro Garnacho. The legend criticized the recruitment strategy of the club when he was asked about the youngster.

Giggs said, "He gets you off your seat. He’s giving you 10 times more than the other guy, who cost so much more money. We’ve just recruited terribly for years and years.”

He pinpointed the fact that Garnacho remains the bright spot in the Manchester United squad.

Giggs made an unexpected public appearance to talk about Manchester United's affairs on Friday, January 19. He discussed the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will be in charge of the football operations of the club.

He also gave his own opinions on what needs to change for Manchester United to compete for silverware again.

He said, "The recruitment should be the first thing we have to change. The culture of the club."

“To get players in who want to play for United and will do anything to win a game for United, that is something in the medium term we have to get those players in.”

Giggs is plotting an unexpected return to football; he played for many years, winning different silverware and getting the recognition he deserved.

Giggs decision to plot a return to football came after the domestic violence charge against him was dropped.

However, his former teammates decided to sign Karl Robinson, who was the more experienced manager, to help the club, which is currently battling relegation in League 2.
