Shortly after President Tinubu announced Gbajabiamila as the new Chief of Staff, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu took to social media yesterday 2nd June to congratulate Gbajabiamila, the incumbent Speaker of House of Reps on his appointment as the new Chief of Staff.
Sanwo-Olu said, "Congratulations to my brother and friend #femigbaja on your appointment as Chief of Staff by H.E President #officialABAT
"Your leadership as Speaker of the House of Reps has been remarkable, and I have no doubt that you'll excel in this new role. I wish you success in driving progress for our nation.
"Congratulations also to Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia and George Akume on becoming Deputy Chief of Staff and SGF respectively.
"I'm certain you'll lead your offices with integrity and efficiency."
Gbajabiamila is expected to resume his new office on Wednesday June 14, 2023.
